Many people applauded the promptness of the police when Noida-based Indian politician Shrikant Tyagi was detained on Tuesday after being caught on camera verbally and physically abusing a woman.
On social media sites like Twitter, however, some users were upset that he was wearing a Real Madrid jacket. Following his arrest, Tyagi was brought before the media at the office of the Noida Police Commissioner, where the top official provided details regarding his escape route and the items seized from his possession.
