Real Madrid will pocket €2.2 million if these 2 teams reach final of 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar
Before FIFA’s deadline of November 11 approached, Brazillian manager Tite revealed his preliminary squad of 26 players. The team is scheduled to assemble in Qatar this week before a friendly matchup against Venezuela in the United Arab Emirates. Los Blancos trio Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes, and Eder Militao, who have all been instrumental for Real Madrid thus far in 2022–2023, are included in the team.
In terms of depth, France’s 25-man World Cup squad is arguably the best in the world. Six players from La Liga were chosen by Didier Deschamps to join him: three from Real Madrid, two from Barcelona, and one from Atletico Madrid. Despite Karim Benzema’s injury concerns, he and Aurelien Tchouameni will bid Los Blancos farewell, and there is also room for rising talent Eduardo Camavinga.
If hypothetically, the World Cup final was to be played between both the French & the Brazilians, whoever turns victorious, Real Madrid seems to be one of the beneficiaries. Los Blancos will pocket close to €2.2 million for both its French & Brazillian contingent who are selected in the squad.
FIFA rulings state for every player in the final, their respective clubs will receive €375k for each player whether he starts or not. Whether such compensation makes any difference to a club of Real Madrid’s stature is another matter of debate. Los Blancos’ main concerns like any other club would be that its players return fully fit to ascertain their charge towards LaLiga and Champions League glory again.
