Brazil and Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr. silenced the rumors of him dating anyone in a social media post on Sunday. Key Alves, a volleyball star and OnlyFans model was seen in the same hotel recently as the 21-year-old. Singer and songwriter Anitta is also one of the key contenders for the footballer’s heart.

During a video interview earlier this week, the Samba star buried all the speculations. He made it clear that he is not only single but also very happy to be so. While interacting with a social media post, he said, “Am I single? Yes and very Happy.”

Earlier this month, Vinicius Junior posted a selfie in a hotel in Sao Paolo during his visit to his home country. Lightning struck when the background in the selfie looked eerily similar to the picture posted by Key Alves, a former volleyball star turned OnlyFans model. It didn’t take long for the eagle-eyed fans to do the maths. Even a green umbrella and a Luis Vuitton suitcase were also visible in the background of both images.

While Vini Junior maintains his position as ‘single’, one might think that the devil hides in the detail. He did not specify whether he spent the night with the model or not, leaving enough room for speculation.

Larissa de Macedo Machado, professionally known as Anitta, has been one of the closest people to the footballer, and their conversations on different social platforms have often been seen as more-than-friendly. Vinicius had nothing discreet about his admiration for Anitta.

The duo has been spotted together at many events. The singer even performed donning the shirt of her compatriot. The Real Madrid star was going through a very tough time against regular instances of racism. Vinicius Jr. expressed his admiration by saying,Anitta, I really like you.”

While the player’s personal life has been one of the topics of the day, it looks like Vinicius himself is unperturbed. Since signing for Real Madrid, after a lot of hype, back in 2018, the Brazilian has slowly but surely cemented his place in the right wing. His previous relationship with social media influencer Julia Mazali also past him as she was not there around the Brazilian during the off-season celebrations.

Why is Vinicius not in the Ballon d’Or conversation with Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland?

Despite being one of the best in his position, the Brazilian is often left out of the Ballon d’Or conversation, more so in the past two seasons. The meteoric emergence of Erling Haaland and the mercurial talent of Kylian Mbappe has shifted the limelight away from the 21-year-old. As Vinicius continues to perform week in and week out, fans can ask themselves, can Vinicius match Haaland and Mbappe?

To get to the bottom of it, one needs to understand that the Brazilian, despite his affinity to the scorecard, is not a striker. Stylistically, he is on the opposite side of the spectrum from the Manchester City phenom, who plays through the center. Despite his positional likeness to Mbappe, Vini Jr. is often the provider while the former focuses on getting on the end of a final pass. Even after these core dissimilarities, Vinicius has managed to be on the same page of the stat chart with the two.

In the past two years, Vinicius has contributed to 45 goals and 41 assists in 107 matches. After some kindergarten maths, it comes to a goal contribution every 105-odd minutes. This is nowhere near the goal contribution rate of Mbappe (one in every 64 minutes) and Haaland (one in every 66 minutes), but any striker other than those two would be world-class with the same stats. One must also remember that Vinicius is younger than both of them. It remains to be seen whether the Brazilian can ever crop up in the same conversation as the other two but one thing is for sure, he certainly has the stats to back him up.
