Real Valladolid fans have had enough of the sad times they’ve been living. Avid protests have started against the club hierarchy, including owner Ronaldo Nazario. His management is facing stern criticism. The club that used to play in the La Liga has since faced its second relegation under the Brazilian legend.
The team recently played against Elche, where they drew 1-1. They have not won a single match in their last four games. There were even many banners of discontentment at the Jose Zorrilla Municipal Stadium. Some banners read, “Ronaldo, Go Now! 5 years of lies.” Reflecting that the fans have lost their patience with him.
What’s unbelievable for the club’s fans is that this is not the first time Ronaldo has shown disregard for the club. Just two seasons ago, fans showcased posters asking him to remain focused on the club and not tennis. The Brazilian club Cruzeiro also falls under Ronaldo’s ownership. Shockingly enough, the club has also shared the fate of Valladolid. They have won just six of their last twenty-two games.
Furthermore, another banner read, “Ronaldo defends Real Madrid? Valladolid 84?” The entire fiasco has led to massive criticism of the former striker. There have been allegations of not investing enough in the club, increasing fan discontent. Ronaldo’s challenges continue to grow as he looks to resume healthy ownership in Spain as well as in Brazil.
