The transfer of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona to Chelsea of the English Premier League has been officially announced. The deal was finalised on September 1, the last day of the summer transfer window. Didier Drogba sends his warmest wishes to Aubameyang as he embarks on a new chapter.

Didier Drogba, a former football great from Ivory Coast, uses his social media accounts to wish Aubameyang luck at Chelsea. Drogba had transferred from Marseille to Chelsea in July 2004 for a cost of £24 million. He pens the lines, “Finally !!!!! Remember the time we spoke about it years ago Happy for you brother”.

Didier Drogba’s statements demonstrate his admiration and happiness for Aubameyang as a player and for his decision to join Chelsea and play in the English Premier League.
