Amazon Prime is soon releasing a show called “Married to the Game,” which will follow the lives of WAGs of footballers. One of the WAGs they follow is Riyadh Mahrez’s wife, Taylor Ward. It followed the summer he decided he was going to leave Manchester City.
Taylor Ward, the daughter of footballer Ashley Ward, met Mahrez in October 2020 and married in 2022 in a traditional Muslim wedding. They once again exchanged vows in September 2023. The couple also have a daughter, born in July 2022.
In a clip from the promo of the show, Ward was seen breaking down due to the stress of their 2nd wedding. Along with that, Mahrez told her over-call that they would be moving to Saudi Arabia, which she did not take well.

In the clip, she was complaining to Mahrez about how she’d be “sat alone at home,” but her husband has just one reaction. He just said one line that left many fans on the internet creasing with laughter.

The series, Married to the Game, follows the lives of five Premier League player’s wives. The WAGs of players like Mahrez Ilkay Gundogon, Jorginho, James Tarkowski, and Matt Turner are followed by the crew during the summer of 2023 and the transfer window.
