“Robert Lewandowski has a contract until June 2023 and will play for us until then”- Bayern Munich’s President Herbert Haine amidst the Pole’s Barcelona rumors
According to reports, Bayern Munich President tells the media and fans that Lewandowski has a contract till the end of next summer and will stay true to his club until then, despite rumours of his transfer. Robert Lewandowski hasn’t agreed to extend his contract at Bayern and will leave the club after the contract ends but rumours of his leaving the club this summer are high.
Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn and sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic offered the Polish striker a proposal of extending his contract but he refused and commented that he needs to decide his future and the club’s future hand-in-hand.
Robert Lewandowski has been in Bayern Munich for the last eight years and has won 17 trophies including a champions league and seven Bundesliga titles. He’s been the top goalscorer in Europe’s top flights for the last two years and is also leading the Golden Boot race in Germany and Europe.
The 33-year-old Polish international has made it public that he isn’t staying at Bayern as he didn’t receive any renewal offer from the club. He further says that he wants to make better decisions for himself and the club must think about its betterment also.

Robert Lewandowski guides Bayern Munich to their tenth straight Bundesliga title in 2021/22
The German giants, Bayern Munich, secured their tenth Bundesliga title as they defeated their arch-rival Dortmund 3-0 a few days ago. Bayern is the only team to win ten consecutive league titles in Europe with the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Muller, Serge Gnabry, etc.
The German side had a shocking exit from the champions league after getting eliminated from the quarter-finals by Villarreal which still haunts them. Bundesliga’s title has been a regular cup that they have been winning on a regular basis but the champions league and German Cup weren’t at their hands this time after getting knocked from both the competitions.
