Daniele De Rossi pushes Roma players ahead of Round of 16 clash
Be aggressive – A two-word summary that sums up Daniele De Rossi‘s advice to Roma ahead of their Round of 16 clash. The former Roma man and club legend took over the dugout back in January and has managed to bring about a turn in fortune for the club. He replaced Jose Mourinho after the latter was let go by the management after a poor run of form.
Ahead of the game, the former midfielder has urged his players to take advantage of the home fixture and take the fight to Brighton. As per a popular newspaper, the manager advised his players to be aggressive and not shy away from the moment. The Giallorossi intend to control the tempo of the game, and leave nothing to chance in the second leg.
With just one loss in all competitions in their last ten games, De Rossi has indeed inspired hope among the players and fans. The club are currently 5th in Serie A, and have 47 points from 27 games. The sudden change in form now puts them within just 4 points of a Champions league spot. Roberto De Zerbi‘s side, on the other hand, are winless in their last three games and will look to muster a win against a galvanized Roma side.
