“He will be crowned,” Ronaldo Nazario backs Lionel Messi to win the Ballon d’Or 2023

Legendary Brazilian striker Ronaldo Nazario has voiced his opinion on who will win the Ballon d’Or 2023. He offered his support towards the seven times Ballon Dór winner Lionel Messi to win the golden ball this time too.
Messi has been one of the two major contenders for this award. Over the years, the Argentine maestro has been one of the regulars to be nominated for this prestigious award. Hew is the one who has won the Ballon d’Or for the most number of time.
This year Messi defied the odds and won Football’s most decorated trophy, the World Cup. He helped his nation end their 36 years of wait as La Albiceleste lifted the trophy for the first time after Diego Maradona. Messi was also the player of the tournament and the Man of the Match for a record five times which is the most to be received in a single edition of the tournament. Apart from that Messi has also won the Ligue 1 title for the second consecutive time with Paris Saint Germain.
In a recent interview, when Ronaldo was asked about his view over who would probably win the Ballon d’Or this season, he said, “Messi deserves to win the Ballon d’Or.” He then continued, “I think he will be crowned. He won the World Cup, which is a very big tournament.”

Lionel Messi says he is ‘happy’ after confirming his move to MLS
Lionel Messi has reportedly confirmed that he is happy following his move to MLS side Inter Miami. Messi is set to play in the MLS as he joined the club that is co-owned by former soccer star David Beckham.
The last few months have been a rollercoaster ride for Messi and his family. The Argentine won the World Cup with his nation. He was also the Golden Ball contender of the tournament and received the Man of the Match award for a record five times, which is the most in one single edition of the tournament.
Apart from this, Messi has also won the Ligue 1 again this season. Although Paris Saint Germain was eliminated from the tournament and yet had another bad UCL season, Messi had contributed to the club. Then he announced that he won’t extend his stay at the French club. PSG fans too reportedly didn’t behave properly. In the last few matches with the club, he was booed and whistled by the fans as they asked him to leave the club.
Messi received a mammoth contract offer from the Saudi side Al Hilal. He also had a chance to return to his boyhood club FC Barcelona. But he reportedly chose a different challenge. And he chose to move to MLS side Inter Miami.
In the latest report, Messi quoted that he is happy with his transfer and leaving European football. He said, “I’m well. Initially, we had a different idea. We’re happy with the decision we have taken. I’m ready and eager to face this new challenge, this change.” Messi then said, “(It) was an important step but at the same time, I was aware of what it meant, of what I was doing. We’re happy.”
