Following the exhilarating clash at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, news of an altercation between a fan and Machester United Legend Roy Keane has come to light. In an incident that also involved Micah Richards, a fan allegedly “headbutted” Roy Keane in the chest, but reports suggest that the man failed to inflict any ‘serious’ injury to the English legend. The alleged incident happened after the 3-1 defeat of Machester United against Arsenal.

After Alejandro Garnacho scored what the Red Devils thought was the winner, Micah Richards and Roy Keane rushed pitch side to see the commotion following the VAR check and the goal later being disallowed. This was when the fan blocked their way and “headbutted” the 52-year-old. Sky Sports released a statement that said that the police were looking into the matter of a person assaulting Keane which occurred moments before the video began (the video which is now circulating on social media).

Sky Sports also said that Micah Richards was acting to defuse the heated situation. In the video, Micah Richards is seen holding a man up against the door by his shirt in a heated argument. Two other people are also seen in the foreground of the video. Reports inform that the assailant fled the scene before the security made their way to the area of the incident. Keane and Richards eventually made their way to the pitch for their post-match Talk show with the help of ground security.

Following Jadon Sancho’s exclusion from the matchday squad against Arsenal, Manager Erik Ten Hag released a statement, claiming that the player did not reach the required level in training, and hence, his exclusion. Ten Hag said that Sancho did not reach the required level needed to start for the team. Sancho however, has hit back at the statement, asking the public to not believe everything that they hear.

Sancho urged that he has been training up to the mark and claims, “I have conducted myself in training very well this week.” The 23-year-old said that his exclusion was due to other reasons, which he did not wish to reveal at the moment.

He also said that he was made a Scapegoat and that the treatment he was metered out was unfair. English journalist Piers Morgan also got out against the Manchester United gaffer, claiming that his treatment of Sancho was the same as he did to Cristiano Ronaldo earlier, last season. He urged Sancho to come speak on his show and that he would help the player “get out of this nightmare.”
