Wrexham has again made headlines as the club confirmed signing James McClean, a prolific winger from Wigan, on a one-year contract. Wrexham co-owners and Hollywood icons Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney made feel their presence with the major signing just before the debut of the League Two 2023/24 season.

On Sky Sports, Reynolds and McElhenney talked about their new signing and said, “Not just because obviously he’s an enormous talent and a huge addition to the team, he’s a leader. He’s one of these guys you speak to, and you are immediately filled with confidence, and you understand that he understands what’s ahead of him and the job he needs to do.” 

He went on to add, “James is no different, and I can’t wait to have him here, he’s going to be amazing.”
