Sadio Mane’s PR manager, Bacary Cisse, has hit out at his former German club for a racist agenda against him. He said that it was a key reason in his move to Saudi. On Tuesday, Mane recently completed a £34m move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr. This brought an end to his underwhelming spell with the club, which started with high hopes after a move from Liverpool.
Mane’s agent claims that Bayern Munich had covered up Leroy Sane‘s racial slur against Mane after their locker room face-off following a defeat at the Etihad. As the players left the field, they were seen arguing. Consequently, it is believed that Mane punched Sane, leaving him with a bloody lip which was photographed the next day by the media.
With German players like Leroy Sane, Jamal Musiala, Serge Gnabry, and the Frenchman Kingsley Coman constantly starting for Bayern. It was tough for the Liverpool great to get even into the starting XI. Cisse’s words were that indeed Bayern did not respect his client and were ungrateful. “Bayern were ungrateful. They were paying an African all this money, and it hurt them,” said Mane’s furious manager.
While fans have called out the agent for instigating a racial angle against their club. The club said they liked Mane as a person and a player, and will not enter into a feud with the Senegalese agent.
