Liverpool emerged victorious over Manchester City as they won 3-2 at Wembley to reach the FA Cup finals for the first time since 2012. Klopp’s side was exceptional in the first half as they took the lead from Konate’s header within 10 minutes from the start.

Sadio Mane scored from a Steffen blunder in front of Manchester City’s goal, before scoring a volley just before the break. Grealish pulled one back at the start of the second half with Bernando Silva scoring for their second goal but couldn’t get the equalizer. 

Liverpool’s dream of winning the quadruple is well achievable, as they will play Chelsea or Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final. This is for the third time that Manchester City has been knocked out from the semi-final stage for the third consecutive season. Pep’s side won the Champions League quarter-final tie against Atletico Madrid a few days back and now they are out of the FA Cup.

Sadio Mane had been a standout performer against Manchester City as he scored two crucial goals that helped Liverpool reach the finals of the FA Cup. He scored twice in the game, with 100% shots on goal, and 87% pass accuracy that made him the Man of the Match for Liverpool. A fan even wrote that he is absolutely a “world-class” player.

Zack Steffen, Manchester City’s goalkeeper in place of Ederson, was an awful change by Guardiola. He was with the ball when Sadio Mane capitalized on it and scored before he could see off the ball to any of his teammates on the field.
