Sam Allardyce to earn millions of pounds if he saves Leeds United from relegation
The Englishman will be in charge for four games.
Sam Allardyce has been officially announced as the new Leeds United manager. According to rumours, the former England manager will receive a substantial bonus if he can maintain the club in the Premier League.
According to sources, Sam Allardyce would be paid a base salary of £500,000 plus a bonus of £2.5 million if he keeps Leeds United in the Premier League. This is despite being given the reigns for only four games. Leeds are presently 17th in the table. They are only out of the bottom three because they have a higher goal difference than Nottingham Forest. They have also been unable to win any of their last six games. To make matters worse, they have given up four or more goals in four of them.
‘Big Sam’ will take charge for the first time against Manchester City on Saturday. Then comes a home game against third-placed Newcastle, followed by games against West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspurs.
The Englishman expressed his shock at the opportunity to manage Leeds. “I never thought at this stage of the season there would be jobs offered,” Allardyce told journalists. “When the phone popped up with a name that I knew pretty well, I knew who it was, so it took me about two seconds to say yes.”

Leeds United director of football departs
Victor Orta, Leeds United’s director of football, has left the club by mutual consent after six years at Elland Road. Orta joined Leeds from Middlesbrough in 2017. He contributed to the club’s promotion to the Premier League in 2020.
“I am deeply saddened by the way that this chapter closes as Victor has been responsible for some of the best moments of my time as owner of Leeds United, and I thank him and his people for all they have done in the past six years,” owner Andrea Radrizzani said. “However, it is clear that it is time to change direction; therefore, we have agreed that Victor will leave the club. I understand supporters are hurt and upset, but now is a time for unity,” he added.
According to sources, he was fired due to a disagreement with Radrizanni about the managerial situation. Orta was thought to want to keep Gracia in command until the end of the season. Meanwhile, Radrizanni and Leeds managing director Angus Kinnear wanted Allardyce to replace him.
