Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal offered Manchester City star Bernardo Silva a lucrative contract to move to Saudi Arabia this summer. Saudi clubs, including Al Ittihad and Al Nassr, have been on the move for acquiring top talents and stars from the European leagues for the better part of the ongoing transfer window so far.
According to reports from media outlet DailyStarSport, Al Hilal offered €9,30,000 per week contract to Silva. They have also extended their offer to Manchester City where they are reportedly ready to pay €80 Million for the Portuguese star.
Al Hilal tried to sign Jose Mourinho as their manager a few weeks back. But the Roma man rejected the offer as he’s reportedly more concentrated on his job at his current club in the Serie A.
It seems now they are trying to make up for Murinho’s unsuccessful move by bringing in the Man City star. He is currently one of the best attackers in Europe right now.
Al Hilal earlier signed in this transfer window signed Ruben Neves and Kalidou Koulibaly. The club secured the service of the Senegalese defender by paying Chelsea €23 million as a transfer fee.
Saudi Arabian clubs have been very active in the current transfer window. They have been all over the news for acquiring star players from European giants with lucrative deals. Players like Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Edouard Mendy, Marcelo Brozovic, etc have all joined Saudi League this season.

Kalidou Koulibaly opened up about the real reason for his move to the Saudi side Al Hilal

Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly has opened up about the real reasons behind his move to the Saudi League. He joined Al Hilal from Chelease on €23 million transfer.
In the latest interview, Koulibaly has spoken about his transfer and the reasons which played a key role in it. He said, “I had no guarantees to get regular playing time at Chelsea. I was always professional but I don’t like to sit on the bench doing nothing. I prefer a place where I am wanted and at the center of the project and can be an example for young players. The Premier League is fantastic and there are great players.”
Koulibaly then concluded, “They expected the Koulibaly of Napoli, but I think my season was not so bad. I needed time and in one year I couldn’t prove what I wanted because of the coach’s and club’s choices. I am happy with what I learned about my limits, my family and my kids. My time had come and I had to make a decision.”
Koulibaly moved to Chelsea in 2022 from the current Italian champions Napoli. At first, he had a good run but got sidetracked due to the injuries for the better part of the season.
