Liverpool star player Mohamed Salah has made the news after his agent could be in controversy for breaking a Saudi Arabian rule. While multiple clubs were interested in getting the Egyptian’s signature in the summer transfer window, he stayed at Liverpool. However, it is alleged that Salah’s agent has pitted clubs against each other to increase his wage demands.

Such practices are ironically prohibited in the Saudi Pro League, highlighting the essence of goodwill over competitiveness. It could severe Salah’s chances of ever moving to Saudi. Further, harming his global image and reputation. He also risks being ‘blacklisted’ by several clubs hence not being a part of their plans.

Despite being one of the most famous Muslim footballers in the world, Salah has always respected his contract with Liverpool. But, if in future Salah wants to move to the Saudi Pro League then he and his agent must be really careful while laying out the demands. Lately, SPL has had a mass uproar of European players going there to play. Hence, a move could be on the plate but the recent reports suggest Salah and his agent might have fumbled the bag.
