Serge Gnabry calls this Barcelona star better than Kylian Mbappe

Bayern Munich’s Serge Gnabry made the outlandish claim that Ousmane Dembele, a star for Barcelona and a teammate of Kylian Mbappe’s from France, is “far better” than his teammate. Bayern teammate Joshua Kimmich disagreed with the 26-year-old and was not amused by the conversation.

Teammates Thomas Muller and Kingsley Coman from Bayern Munich also made an appearance on Amazon Prime Video with Kimmich and Gnabry. “Dembele is much better than Mbappe,” Gnabry said in the TV documentary.

Thomas Muller added in, saying that he “would be great” if he could dribble as Dembele does. The 32-year-old Bayern star responded: “What do you mean, better? If I could dribble like Dembele, I would be better too.” Kimmich chose to concentrate on Dembele rather than Mbappe when given the chance to judge the young player.

The Barcelona winger Dembele, according to the 26-year-old Germany international, would not be his first choice above Gnabry or Coman. “If I am asked to choose between Dembele and Gnabry or Coman, I would always take Gnabry or Coman,” Kimmich said. “This Dembele discussion p****s me off!”

Barcelona manager Xavi compares Ousmane Dembele’s abilities to a prime Neymar

Xavi believes that when one-on-one with opponents, Ousmane Dembele is as good as Neymar was in his prime. Dembele has been one of Barcelona’s most impressive players since Xavi took over as manager last season, and was at his scintillating best in the 5-1 win over Viktoria Plzen.

Xavi couldn’t be happier with his player and thinks that, in that department, he’s at the same level as prime Neymar. “He makes the difference, assists, scores, he is a knife and he is in a good moment. I don’t want to shower him in praise but the capacity he has in the one-on-one is at the level of the best Neymar. He has to be more bold, shoot at goal more and score.”
