“Don’t look for excuses or problems; surely you don’t know about soccer,” Sergio Aguero calls out super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez for threatening Lionel Messi
Sergio Aguero Lionel Messi and Saul Canelo Alvarez
Former Manchester City and Argentina forward Sergio Aguero replied on the threat made by Mexican boxer and World super middleweight champion Saul Canelo Alvarez on Lionel Messi. Canelo threatened Messi soon after Argentina’s victory against Mexico on matchday two of Group B of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Headed by Lionel Messi, Argentina rejoiced in the locker room after defeating Mexico. Videos of the jubilation in the Argentina changing room have gone popular on social media. Canelo viewed the match versus Argentina and cheered on Mexico for them to triumph. He captured a glimpse of Messi celebrating in the changing area and stamping on a Mexican flag. The Mexican fighter did not like how Messi appeared to be disrespecting his nation.
Following Canelo’s warning to Messi, Aguero has now retaliated on social media. In response to Canelo’s warning , he said : “Mr. Canelo, don’t look for excuses or problems, surely you don’t know about soccer and what happens in a locker room. The shirts are always on the floor after the games are over due to sweat and then if you see well, he makes the movement to remove the booty and accidentally hits it.“
After Argentina defeated Mexico 2-0, boxer Canelo Alvarez threatened Lionel Messi
Lionel Messi has been sensationally challenged by multiple world boxing champion Canelo Alvarez after the iconic footballer was accused of disrespecting the Mexican flag. Later, video of Argentina’s jubilant changing room celebrations surfaced.
The defending champions of the Copa America needed to win this match after shocking Saudi Arabia 2-1 last week. In response to one specific celebration video, Alvarez charged Messi with disrespecting a Mexico shirt or flag. The video created some buzz on social media and eventually got to Alvarez, who responded angrily.
Messi hasn’t raised many eyebrows throughout his remarkable career, so it’s difficult to believe that his purpose was to diss Mexico. Buzzing from Argentina’s victory, it seems he was merely removing his boots when he accidentally kicked the Mexico jersey, seemingly out of the blue.
