Sergio Agüero believes Barcelona can “battle for everything” in the upcoming campaign and is eager to see Robert Lewandowski in a Barcelona uniform.

Agüero discussed Lewandowski’s arrival and believes the Polish superstar will score a lot of goals because of the talent surrounding him and the Xavi Hernández method.

El Kun believes the team is in much better form than it was when he joined the club last season and was also asked about the other players that Barça signed this summer. Agüero has great expectations for Barça and believes that if everything goes as planned, the squad can compete for the Champions League crown either this season or the next.

It’s intriguing that Agüero is lowering his expectations for Barça this year, given he is well aware from his playing experience that a squad needs time to gel. This will be Xavi’s first full season in command, and the team will undergo several changes throughout the course of the ensuing transfer windows.

With this team, winning La Liga should be an attainable objective, and avoiding a humiliating exit from Europe should be a low bar to overcome. Although it still seems more like a pipe dream than a realistic goal, winning the Champions League is no longer inconceivable.
