Shakira asks paparazzis to give her children ‘right to privacy’ as she begins her new life in Miami after split from Gerard Pique

Pop sensation Shakira has reportedly issued a statement regarding the media involving her children Sasha and Milan. The kids have often reportedly been caught in the crossfire between their parents Gerard Pique and Shakira. Eyes were always on Sasha and Milan ever since their parents announced the split after more than 10 years of relationship.

In her recent statement, Shakira reportedly requested all the media outlets to keep her kids out of the spotlight. She said that they have already endured a whole rough year with everything that was happening around them.

Shakira’s reported statement read, “In this period of change in my life it’s understandable that there is permanent curiosity around me and family. However my kids, Sasha and Milan, have endure a very difficult year suffering incessant harassment and persecution without relief by paparazzi and several media outlets in Barcelona. Now that they are beginning a new life, I implore the media on their behalf, to please give them the right to their privacy. I beg you not to follow them to the entrance and exit of their school, or wait for them at the door of our home or follow them to the extracurricular and recreational activites, like the Barcelona media out lets did, just to get some photos and boot their ratings”.

She then went on to say, “I trust that the media here would be sensible enough to understand what Saha and Milan are facing and can behave in the most humane way possible. Keep in mind that this is about the physical and emotional health of two minors who are just 8 and 10 years age. They only want to go out in public and feel safe at school while attending. They want to feel tranquil that they aren’t being followed or subjected to constant scrutiny or cameras. I extend this petition not as an artist but as a mother who is worried about her children’s psychological and emotional well being so that they can live a happy life like children should. Thank you in advance for understanding and support “.

Shakira takes her kids for a holyday before moving to Miami permanently: Reports

The Waka Waka hitmaker is reportedly holidaying with her two children in the stunning Turk and Caicos islands as she prepares for her new life in Miami. Shakira’s whereabouts have been a mystery since she left Barcelona last weekend with her sons Milan and Sasha. Spanish press reportedly said she had picked a “paradise and remote” place to relax after her emotion-sapping break-up with ex Gerard Pique. This led to her releasing diss songs targeting the retired footballer and his new girlfriend Clara Chia.

Now it seems that she had picked the British Overseas Territory of the Turk and Caicos Islands. The place is famed for its golden sand beaches and turquoise water. The trip comes as she is planning to settle on the ‘billionaire bunker’ island of Indian Creek in the States.

Reports further state that her holiday destination in the Caribbean was revealed as she prepared to pack her bags again for a new flight to Miami. It’s where her children are due to start school. Shakira has enrolled them at a well-known private school just north of the city. Their new home will be a 14 million pounds mansion in Miami’s glamorous South Beach area. She bought it in 2001.
