After the public divorce of Colombian pop star Shakira and ex-Barcelona footballer Gerard Pique, their children faced a custody arrangement, which has been a matter of public interest. The kids stay with Shakira in Miami, according to these agreements.

Lately, Shakira’s father’s health has deteriorated. Leading her to spend more time with him in Barranquilla, Colombia. Meanwhile, reports suggested that both children were left behind in Miami, USA, with a babysitter. So that they can continue their schooling.

As recent as October 16, it has been understood that the kids, Milan and Sasha, also traveled to Colombia to meet with their grandfather and accompany their mother in these complicated times. In doing so, reports claim, both of them had to drop out of their school situated in Miami.

When Gerard Pique was furious with Shakira after a phone call

Former Barcelona and Manchester United defender Gerard Pique reportedly expressed frustration after receiving only a few days’ notice from his ex-wife, pop star Shakira. This was about her plans to relocate to Miami with their two children. The move was scheduled for April 11, when Shakira intended to have their sons, Milan, aged 10, and Sasha, aged 8, start school.

The news of her departure was conveyed through a formal announcement by Shakira’s lawyer to Pique’s lawyer. Pique is said to be upset about the short notice. He disagreed with the children not completing the school year in Barcelona. The high-profile couple, who ended their 11-year relationship in May of the previous year, reached a legal agreement in November of 2022.

One of the significant points of contention had been Shakira’s desire to relocate to Miami. It is where part of her family resides, which had hindered their ability to reach an out-of-court settlement earlier.

Gerrard Pique, currently dating 24-year-old Clara Chia Marti, was set to spend holidays with their children as part of the agreement. However, the abrupt notice of relocation had left Pique frustrated.
