Shakira explained that she chose the colour red for that look because it is a tone that impresses and has a lot of impact, and that she had to adjust her body so that the hip movements were more pronounced.
Another look she presented that piqued people’s interest was the outfit she wore in 2012 for Celebrities Honored by the French Ministry of Culture, in which she wore a shiny silver dress, high black boots, and the haircut she mentioned.
Shakira stated that her haircut was the idea of her mother-in-law, who assured her that it would look great and that she would be doing her hair a favour. However, the Colombian admitted that the cut was the worst advice from her mother-in-law and the worst mistake she ever made.
