Gerard Pique is all set to announce his engagement with his new girlfriend Clara Chia Martin. The former FC Barcelona defender broke up with his ex-girlfriend Shakira in June 2022.

Prior to the split, the couple had dated for 11 years. The reason for it was said to be Gerard Pique cheating on the Colombian singer with his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Martin. The pair confirmed their relationship on January 25 of this year by posting a selfie on Instagram. Since then, Shakira has dissed the couple in multiple songs.

Now, it seems like the pair might announce their engagement soon. According to reports, the former Manchester United defender and his girlfriend were seen shopping for engagement rings in Barcelona. They visited a shop where they inquired about getting a customized ring. Sources close to the couple now reveal that they are intending to tie the knot and are planning to do so within the next month.

The sources say that the couple has planned the ideal moment to make the good news public. The announcement will be made on another important date for the former defender. It will be during the wedding of his brother Marc who is going to marry his childhood sweetheart Maria on June 24.
