Shakira’s latest song about split from Gerard Pique takes inspiration from all these songs
Inspiration for Shakira's song
Shakira, a well-known Columbian pop singer, recently launched her new album, “Monotonia,” which became an internet sensation and went viral. Fans seemed to appreciate the song. And as of right now, a list of songs from which the song was inspired has been made public, according to reports.
There are three tracks specifically from her most recent album where she discusses her split with her ex-partner and the professional footballer from Spain, Gerard Pique. Julio Iglesias’ “Hey,” Luis Miguel’s “Culpable o No,” and Bruce Springsteen’s “Brilliant Disguise” were the songs.
The song is about her romance with Pique and how she moved on to live a regular life and rediscover her lost happiness. It would have undoubtedly been difficult for the pop diva to end a 12-year relationship, but she once again showed the qualities of a strong and desirable woman.
Together with Ozuna, we created the song. Pique was reportedly observed picking up his child for a fun day outside Shakira’s house on the day the song was released, but he was seen looking displeased and irate. Everyone applauds Shakira for getting back in shape, and it appears like there are a lot more songs in this genre ready for release.
Shakira and Gerard Pique: The lost love story
If the famous couple had suffered a catastrophic breakup, it would have undoubtedly been a difficult year. Following their breakup, Gerard Pique began dating Clara Chia Marti, who is currently reportedly pregnant, and it is said that this occurred due to adultery claims against him.
Shakira’s inclusion in the infamous song “Waka Waka” that year brought the two celebrities together during the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Sasha Mebarak Pique and Milan Mebarak Pique are their children, and they became close. Fans find it difficult to simply comprehend that the relationship is over and over.
