Tom Cairney’s deflected shot and a late goal by Willian sealed the victory for Fulham, lifting them to 12th place in the Premier League standings. At the same time, Sheffield United remained at the bottom after seven defeats in eight games. Fulham’s performance, led by manager Marco Silva’s call for improvement, was more purposeful, with Alex Iwobi making a significant impact in midfield.

On the other hand, Sheffield United struggled in the first half, failing to register a shot, and faced further challenges amid Basham’s injury. This defeat pressures Paul Heckingbottom and his team heading into the international break. Sheffield United are yet to register an official statement regarding the horrific injury of their captain as they look to deal with more significant problems with a running set of fixtures.
