Qatar Airports are not ready for the FIFA World Cup

The FIFA World Cup 2022 is right around the corner, and Qatar is doing everything it can to organize the tournament in the most impressive way possible, but it appears that they are currently facing a major dilemma. The major airport in Qatar is not prepared for the entry of the enormous, eager crowd traveling to this year’s World Cup.

On November 18, the World Cup is scheduled to commence, and supporters have begun to travel to the Arab nation to watch the eagerly anticipated football event. The primary airport in Qatar is Hamad International Airport, and according to sources, they are now having trouble managing the issue.

Additionally, if such a large number of passengers travel by every day, the airport employees have expressed their fear of being under too much pressure and having to work longer hours. In order to address the problem, it has also come to light that the airport authorities are immediately hiring staff.

Every day, Qatar welcomes about 1600 flights, but there aren’t enough workers to serve even half of the passengers. The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) also released a statement claiming that air traffic control has been continuously monitored and that control systems have been improved.

The FIFA World Cup 2022 is scheduled to take place in Qatar from November 18 to December 21 of this year. The Arab World will host the World Cup for the first time ever. The final is scheduled for December 18, 2022, which also happens to be Qatar National Day. France is the reigning world champion.

This World Cup will be the first to not be hosted in May, June, or July and to take place in the northern autumn; it will be played in a shorter timeframe of roughly 29 days due to the extreme summer heat in Qatar. The tournament will take place from late November to mid-December.
