First FIFA World Cup without Queen Elizabeth II
FIFA World Cup 2022 which is going to be happening in Qatar this year is shockingly the first football world cup happening in the absence of Queen Elizabeth II. The first FIFA World Cup was held in the year 1930 when Queen was four years old and since then she has witnessed every world cup.
The demise of the Queen came with huge surprise as nobody expected anything like this to happen. The Royal Family released the official news of Queen Elizabeth’s death on September 8 and everybody showered and shared their condolences for her and the family.
FIFA World Cup 2022 will be the 22nd running football world cup and being held in Qatar. It is scheduled to start on 20 November to 18 December this year. This will also be the first World Cup that is happening in an Arab country.
Considering how close the Royal Family is to the football world that they follow teams and matches, it would be hard for them to realize that their one important member is no more with them. Queen Elizabeth’s loss will be very much evident and unbearable for many of us.

Queen Elizabeth passed away on this Thurday at her 96th age. She completed her 70 year reign by when she has put forward a lot of reforms and promotions of many fields including the common man’s game football. She was present at some crucial moments of the British football history.
Football was a recurring theme during her reign. She has handed over the England’s first World Cup to Sir Bobby Moore in 1966 and have also honoured several generations of the game’s most notable individuals. She also use to attend FA Cup Final every year during her time.
