According to the Buenos Aires city government, a list of at least 6,000 Argentine supporters has been prohibited from entering World Cup stadiums in Qatar. “The violent ones are here and in Qatar. We want to bring peace back to football and that the violent ones are outside the stadiums,” According to ESPN, the city’s Minister of Justice and Security Marcelo D’Alessandro made these remarks in a radio interview.

According to D’Alessandro, the fans were subject to the ban because they were “barras” (violent fans), engaged in illegal activity, and owed support (from separated parents). Delegations from several Argentine police organizations will be sent to work with the Qatari security officials in Qatar to carry out the orders.

In addition to forbidding shirt removal within stadiums, the much-publicized air-conditioned stadiums are made to keep fans at a comfortable temperature.
Although unmarried friends of different genders or couples are permitted to share a room during the competition, cohabitation of unmarried couples is illegal in Qatar.
