Real Madrid Club de Fútbol has congratulated Cristiano Ronaldo on becoming the first player to ever score 700 career goals. After scoring in Sunday’s 2-1 Premier League victory over Everton for Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo has now scored 700 goals for his club.
“Real Madrid wants to express its most sincere congratulations to Cristiano Ronaldo for becoming the first player in history to score 700 goals,” the club said in a statement.
“The Whites’ all-time top scorer keeps on writing new pages in the history of our club and of football in general. His commitment, his work and his ambition have made him become the best player in the world.”
Ronaldo has scored an incredible 451 goals in just 430 games for Real Madrid since joining the club from Manchester United in 2009. He has also netted 118 times for Portugal and 131 goals for his previous clubs, Sporting Lisbon and Manchester United.
