The bitterness between Kylian Mbappé and PSG is beginning to cause cracks as six players from the first team squad, including two new arrivals, have voiced their displeasure with the striker’s comments, according to RMC Sport. Mbappe recently lashed out at the club in an interview, after causing controversy by not renewing his contract.
One of the players who was angered by Mbappé’s statements in the France Football interview informed owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi that his remarks were “an insult to the club.” It is the first time that PSG players have openly voiced their displeasure with the club’s all-time leading scorer. Mbappé was basically PSG’s golden boy until this summer when he shocked the Parisians by not extending his contract.
“I think playing for PSG doesn’t help a lot because it’s a team that divides, a club that divides. So, of course, it attracts gossip, but it doesn’t bother me because I know what I’m doing and how I’m doing it,” said the 2018 World Cup winner, who attacked the club and suggested he is not affected by the gossip generated due to the club.
Mbappé has also irritated Nasser Al-Khelafi. According to reports in France, the PSG president is baffled as to why the player has made such allegations and still continues to play for the club. The Qatari also sees his remarks as a “complete lack of respect for all members of the PSG squad.” Mbappe has been given two weeks to extend his contract, but it seems that he will be sold this summer.

PSG are willing to sell Kylian Mbappe this summer after the French sensation notified the club that he would not be renewing his contract. Mbappe’s current contract is slated to expire next year, fuelling talk that he might join Real Madrid in the next year. Among the reports about his departure, individuals close to Mbappe have revealed Arsenal as his favorite English destination.
Both Liverpool and Arsenal have been linked with offers for the 24-year-old, who scored 41 goals and supplied 10 assists in 43 outings last season. PSG’s approach is clear: extend your contract or be sold this summer. The Ligue 1 winners are anticipated to seek a price of over €200 million (£170 million) for Mbappe, which few teams can pay.
Arsenal would be Mbappe’s first choice if he ever moved to the Premier League for two reasons. The first is because he admires Mikel Arteta’s team’s progress. Second, he would relish the opportunity to deliver the club a long-awaited title. Despite this, the 24-year-old is considered much too expensive for Arsenal, who have already spent big money on Declan Rice and Kai Havertz this summer.
