Spanish Authorities probe Cristiano Ronaldo’s HAIR TRANSPLANT clinics for alleged tax evasion

A string of hair transplant clinics co-owned by Cristiano Ronaldo have come under investigation by the authorities over allegations of ‘tax issues.’ Named Insparya Medical Clinic, the clinics are currently being looked into by the Tax Agency in Spain.

In the ongoing investigation that began in February 2022, allegations have surfaced regarding a clinic’s failure to include VAT on invoices issued to clients between 2019 and 2021. The clinic argues that because alopecia is a medical condition, VAT does not apply to its treatment.

Nevertheless, authorities argue that hair transplants are primarily for cosmetic purposes and should have VAT applied. Subsequently, the clinics have involved their legal team and affirmed their commitment to adhering to all laws and regulations.

To strengthen their case, Insparya also delivered a report from the WHO and a doctor who specialized in dermatology. The report read: 

The treatment of the disease of alopecia leads to an aesthetic improvement…but the objective of this treatment is not only aesthetic but also medical.

The tax agency, however, has raised further questions on another issue about various expenses deducted in cases of hotels, meals, and trips with those invoices without the VAT.

More information is currently awaited regarding the case but as of now has not affected the player’s performances on the pitch as Cristiano Ronaldo maintains his red-hot form for Al-Nassr.
