24-year-old French superstar, Kylian Mbappe lambasted Paris Saint-Germain once again in the media, accusing them of using divisive methods to run the club. This has been the norm for the Parisians as Lionel Messi also criticized the environment after leaving the club. The 2018 World Cup winner is currently in his fraternal village in Cameroon.
During an interview, Mbappe said to France Football, “Do people downplay my performances? Yes, but at the same time, I don’t blame them, and I myself downplayed what (Lionel Messi) did, what Cristiano Ronaldo did, what the great players did. We live in a consumer society, where the emphasis is on ‘That’s good, but do it again.’ I think playing for PSG doesn’t help a lot because they are a team that divides, a club that divides.”
Experts have maintained that it will be difficult for Mbappe to win the prestigious Ballon d’Or while at PSG, Mbappe straightforwardly criticizes the club, stating that the French Giants do not provide sufficient support to enhance his performances and compete for the Ballon d’Or. Last week, UEFA released the recent ranking of the club competitions and Ligue 1 has dropped to the seventh position, below the Dutch league and the Belgian league.
Mbappe has decided not to renew his contract with PSG, which will end next year. PSG’s president, Nasser al-Khelaifi, has emphasized that Mbappe must either sign a new contract now or consider joining a different club.
Kylian assesses his performances against players from previous generations such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, as well as other esteemed players. He believes that in comparison to their accomplishments in football, he underestimates his own achievements.

Mbappe’s transfer situation this summer
If Mbappe leaves PSG when his contract expires, the club would miss out on a significant transfer fee exceeding Neymar’s record fee in 2017. As a free agent, Mbappe could negotiate a substantial signing-on fee with his new club without PSG receiving compensation.
As the transfer saga unfolds, Mbappe and PSG will shift focus to pre-season preparations. The arrival of a new manager Luis Enrique could uplift Mbappe upon his return.
PSG and Mbappe must carefully balance their interests, considering the financial and sporting implications. The upcoming weeks will determine Mbappe’s future and his ability to captivate audiences with his exceptional talent.
