“Stop f*cking around, stupid… no way”- Lionel Messi on Real Madrid’s yet another miraculous comeback at Champions League 2021-22
In a recent video, former Manchester City player Sergio Aguero read a message sent from Lionel Messi at the start of the second half of the extra time in the match Champions League between Real Madrid and Manchester City.
Real Madrid completed a historic comeback to beat Manchester City 3-1 on Wednesday and secure qualification to the Champions League final in Paris, where they will face Liverpool.
Reacting to Real Madrid’s triumph in his live stream, Sergio Aguero revealed the texts received from Lionel Messi shortly after Benzema’s goal. The former Manchester City striker was live-streaming the game along with another ex-Man City frontman and Boca Junior legend Carlos Tevez.
“Leo is writing to me,” Aguero told Tevez, who replied, “What is Leo saying?”
“Stop f**ing around, stupid… no way,” said Messi in reference to Real Madrid’s comeback. It’s crazy, they can’t win another game like that,” replied an astonished Tevez.
“What’s going on?” asked Aguero immediately. “I’m here working and I’m actually shocked. The truth is that I can’t believe it. On top of that, I sent audio to Ibai [Llanos] telling him- you’re so lucky and they give a penalty. I can’t believe it,” responded Tevez.
Real Madrid vs Liverpool: The stage for the Champions League final is set
Real Madrid will now lock horns with Liverpool in the final on May 28, in what will be the rematch of the 2018 Champions League final.
Real Madrid had triumphed on that occasion, thanks to a Gareth Bale masterclass. However, the Reds have a score to settle when they meet Carlo Ancelotti’s men once again in Paris last month.
