Fans were surprised by the recent appearance of former Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, as Turkish media reported that Galatasaray discovered he was 6 kilograms overweight. His form has massively declined since since moving from the North London club to the Turkish champions.
Currently on loan from Spurs, French midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is playing in the Turkish Super League, after spending the last two seasons on loan at Lyon and Napoli. His form has sharply dropped since leaving the EPL, where he was often left out on the bench due to fitness and performance issues. Once a promising talent at Lyon, the 27-year-old now faces a noticeable decline in fitness. It was also vident in a recent video of him playing for Galatasaray in the Turkish Cup against Umraniyespor.
Despite his desire to regain his Galatasaray form, the player has allegedly gained 6 kilograms since joining. He has struggled to secure a spot in the starting XI and made little impact, playing only 16 matches for the reigning champions without scoring or assisting. In those, he started only five times. A shared video shows Ndombele looking noticeably heavier, unsuccessfully chasing the ball on the pitch.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that the 26-year-old has received a warning from manager Okan Buruk to reduce his weight to 75kg, or he will not be included in future matches for the club. He was also reportedly caught by the manager for ordering fast food items after a UCL match.

Fans were left in confusion, as they inquired about the reason for his unfit appearance. While another fan expressed his disappointment by exclaiming that he has no respect for players who do not remain in shape. Some speculate that money and huge wages were reasons for Ndombele’s downfall.
