Following a never-ending rumour mill regarding the suspected infidelity of the Spanish footballer, Shakira and Gerard Piqué shocked the entertainment industry by announcing their split on June 4.
Shakira wrote a heartfelt tribute to her “hero,” one of the most significant individuals in her life, via her Instagram account. The Colombian singer gave her father, William Mebarak Chadid, who just turned 91, a token of her respect.
“Happy birthday to the hero of my life! Daddy you’ve had COVID, two falls and two operations. It has been a lot this year and you are still 91 years old, teaching me resilience and limitless love every day, ” was the message that Shakira dedicated to her father.
Shakira added to this by posting a collection of pictures featuring her and her father celebrating her life and beaming with happiness over the good news.

The separation with Shakira had little impact on Gerard Pique
Piqué has been spotted numerous times with Clara Chá Mart, a young man with whom he would have cheated on Shakira and who is currently his girlfriend, more than three months after this news surfaced. It appears that Piqué was unaffected by his breakup.
Shakira would have taken a vacation from the commotion caused by this choice and expressed her thankfulness for the recent delights in her life, but she would also have temporarily put her contentious split with the FC Barcelona centre defender behind her.
End of May saw a serious decline for Mr. William Mebarak. He needed to be admitted to the hospital once again after being released from the hospital and healing at home. Nidia Ripoll, his wife and the mother of Shakira, spoke candidly about their interactions with Mr. Mebarak “He is stable,” she assured.
Without further ado, Nidia responded kindly to the media when they asked her about a possible date on which her husband would be discharged. “I don’t know when the doctors say,” she said, adding that her husband continues to recover.
