Apple TV+ just announced the release date of Ted Lasso‘s third season, which will premiere on March 15. The American sports comedy-drama television series is developed by Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt and Joe Kelly. Apple TV+ made the much-awaited announcement on February 14.

The show will be premiered on a Wednesday and will become “the first Apple TV+ series to launch midweek,” according to the press release. During the press release, Apple TV + also confirmed that the third season of Ted Lasso will have 12 episodes of the antics of the newly promoted AFC Richmond crew.

Ted Lasso follows an American coach, who is hired to manage a football team with zero experience. Ted, however, makes up for his lack of knowledge and experience as a coach, with his optimism. The show also follows Ted’s boss, AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Welton, and the rest of the football crew. Season 3 will show Richmond’s success as they compete in the English top flight.

The Sports TV series received huge praise for the performances of the cast, especially Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham and Brett Goldstein for their humorous acting. The caste of Ted Lasso will return in their third season as confirmed by Apple TV+. The star of the series Jason Sudeikis, who played the role of Ted Lasso, will be present in the third season.

The caste of Ted Lasso with the likes of Roy Kent (played by Brett Goldstein), Coach Beard (played by Brendan Hunt), Nate Shelley (played by Nick Mohammed), Rebecca Welton (played by Hannah Waddingham) and Keeley James (played by Juno Temple) will also play their roles in the third season of Ted Lasso. Dr. Sharon Fieldstone (played by Sarah Niles), the football team’s therapist, will also have a significant role in their upcoming season.

In addition to the main cast of the series, fans and viewers will also get to experience two new characters this season. Becky Ann Baker, who will play the role of Ted’s mother, and Jodi Balfour, who will play the role of a “charming venture capitalist,” according to Deadline.

The third season of Ted Lasso will premiere on Apple TV+, and viewers can watch the show on Apple’s subscription service. The streaming service is available across many streaming devices, Smart TVs and mobile devices, and Apple hardware are not needed. The subscription to Apple TV can be purchased directly through Apple’s website, or the Apple TV application.

Viewers in the U.S. can get an Apple TV subscription for $6.99 per month, with a 7-day free trial. Meanwhile, viewers in the United Kingdom can get an Apple TV subscription for  £6.99 per month after a free 7-day trial. Viewers who purchase Apple devices get three months of free Apple TV subscription. The subscription to Apple TV can also be cancelled at any time.

Fans of Ted Lasso who enjoyed the first two seasons will be eager to stream the upcoming season in March 2023. While the squad of AFC Richmond will also be seen donning Nike gear, as Nike will be manufacturing the club’s kits for the TV Show.
