After being together for 12 years, Colombian singer Shakira and the Spaniard Gerard Pique decided to call it quits. Some figures in the entertainment industry have defended the “I congratulate you” interpretation, while others have criticized the situation.
It should be remembered that after the player was spotted with his new partner, Clara Chia, the split rumours of Shakira and Gerard Piqué, the renowned couple, intensified to the point where they became true. One of the most well-liked couples in the middle of their 12-year relationship announced their impending separation in a statement in which they pleaded for privacy.
However, following Piqué’s alleged infidelity, actors, actresses, singers, and even politicians came out in support of the Colombian, among them is entertainment journalist Pati Chapoy. If we recall well, the singer first opened up about her breakup with Pique, revealing how difficult it was for her and the despair she was going through. Despite this, she overcame it and continued to create music, which served as therapy.

What Spanish journalist had to say about the Shakira-Gerard Pique split?
Chapoy expressed her opinion on it for the following reason during her Ventaneando program: “I am very sorry for this young lady because she is the focus of attention in the media and not so much for the good.” It is clear that the journalist’s position was against the ex-partner of the “Anthology” interpreter since she indicated that she is only collateral damage to the soccer player’s infidelities and described him as a “womanizer”, while Shakira as “poor innocent”.
“That poor wretch is suffering,” said Daniel Bisogno, who supported his partner’s comments by highlighting how negative it has been for the singer. The Colombian came to Spain to support the player so that he could play for Barcelona and win titles.
