Jamie Vardy, who was rumored to be moving to other teams like Manchester United and Chelsea, has dispelled all the news and signed a new contract with Leicester City. He has been playing for the team for the last ten years and had scored 153 Premier League goals in 335 matches.
When asked about the transfer and related matters Vardy replied,
“I’m obviously over the moon. Once I heard it was something the Club was looking at, there was only one thing that was going to happen, and I was going to sign it. The decision was easy.“
Jamie Vardy has achieved a lot including being the oldest player to win a golden boot in the Premier League and had won Premier League, FA Cup, Community Shield, and Championship titles. This has made him an important player in the transfer window and thus he was a chance to many teams like Manchester United and Chelsea.
He feels to continue with the team and said, “Now it’s all about this season and finishing as high as we can. My legs are still feeling great so I’ll carry that on helping the Club as much as I can, whether that’s scoring or assisting, that’s what I’m here to do“
