Carlos Alcaraz, the world’s top-ranked tennis player right now, paid a visit to Real Madrid and posed for a photo with Tony Kroos, Fede Valverde, and other players. The teenage sensational Spaniard has surpassed his countryman Rafa Nadal in the ATP rankings.
Alcaraz has not won a single match since reaching the top of the world rankings on September 11 after winning the US Open. On October 4, the 19-year-old was defeated in the first round of the Astana competition by Belgian David Goffin. Meanwhile, the Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kross shared the photo on his social media accounts with the caption “The future and me.” Valverde was also in the picture.
According to the club website, World No. 1 Alcaraz was at the Martnez Valero watching Real Madrid defeat Elche. After the game, the tennis player, a big Whites fan, went down to the locker room to thank the players and take pictures with them and head coach Carlo Ancelotti. On their official social media sites, the club also posted several photos of the players with 2022 US Open champion Alcaraz.
Alcaraz also shared photos of players such as 2022 Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema, Rodrygo, Marco Asensio, Vinicius Junior, and Ancelotti. He had also written “Hala Madrid” on his Instagram account in support of the 14-time UEFA Champions League winners who were in attendance.

Real Madrid defeated Elche with ease
Elche, the bottom club in La Liga, were defeated 3-0 at home by Real Madrid on Wednesday night, putting the visitors six points clear at the top of the table. This was a clash of two La Liga extremes. Elche entered the match at the bottom of the table, while Real Madrid was at the top. Elche was winless, while Madrid was unbeaten. Elche had conceded the most goals of any Spanish team, while Madrid were the division’s top scorers.
Just five minutes into the game, the disparity was clear. At the end of a devastatingly slick passing sequence, Karim Benzema had the ball in the net, but Vinicius Junior had strayed offside in the buildup. The raised flag of the assistant referee enraged the Elche fans and players, igniting a wild spell as the hosts pursued their illustrious visitors. Real Madrid, on the other hand, reveled in the space created by Elche’s aggressive but haphazard pressing.
Carlos Clerc’s goal-line clearance denied Benzema. No one dared to get in the way of Federico Valverde’s vicious left-footed swipe in the 12th minute, which sent the ball swerving into the corner from the edge of the box.
As the game entered its final quarter-hour, Karim Benzema finally evaded the officials’ scrutiny to double Real’s lead. The Ballon d’Or winner found the back of the net for the third time tonight after a crisp one-two with Rodrygo around three Elche players.
Benzema jokingly celebrated with the universal VAR hand signal before smiling with the referee. Valverde was denied a second goal from close range, but Marco Asensio came off the bench to add a final flourish to Real’s victory, toeing Rodrygo’s square pass past a dazed Badia.
