The hat-trick against Norwich City fetches Cristiano Ronaldo with an £850k bonus from Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo stepped up once again to rescue Manchester United in a 3-2 win against Norwich City with a brilliant hat-trick. The exceptional performance in the Premier League match before they face Liverpool had just earned him 850,000 Euros as an incentive for his record hat-trick in his career. Manchester United reached the fifth position in the points table after beating Norwich City at Old Trafford last Saturday.

Manchester United has included some incentives in Ronaldo’s contract, which include £750,000 for completing 20 goals in a season, and for every goal on top of that, he will receive £100,000 per goal.

Cristiano Ronaldo might also win a £2.75m financial windfall if he scores 30 times in the season for the Red Devils. He might also earn more incentives if he finishes the season with the most number of goals for his club. He is currently the leading goal-scorer for Manchester United across all tournaments.

The 37-years old Portuguese International showed his class once again after his tremendous hat-trick in front of the home crowd after the controversies that took place against him for breaking a fan’s cell phone after the match against Everton.

Cristiano scored in the seventh minute and then at the half-hour mark put United ahead 2-0 up. He netted his hat-trick from a free-kick, taking his goal tally to 21 this season in all competitions. This is now the 16th season of 20+ goals for him, dating back from his old time at Old Trafford.

Manchester United signed Ronaldo from Juventus in the summer of 2021 with the hope to win trophies that were missing from their dressing room. However, they still don’t have any trophies to play for as their hope ended after going out from all competitions. They are now in the race to finish in the top four positions in the league to qualify for the Champions League next season.
