The Merseyside Police starts investigating reports of an alleged assault after Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo smashed a fan’s phone after a 1-0 loss against Everton in Premier League 2021-22
Cristiano Ronaldo was seen smashing a phone of one of the fans in the stands when he left the stadium after the match against Everton in Premier League 2021-22. The Merseyside Police are looking after the alleged case to take any disciplinary action against Ronaldo or not.
The Police will be looking at the CCTV footage along with the Everton Football Club officials to investigate the mishap. They are going out for extensive witnesses to enquire further to proceed to any conclusion. Cristiano Ronaldo could face consequences if the police or any officials find any proof against him which could make him miss some matches. The Portuguese star might have to pay a hefty fine if found guilty by the police.
CR7, on his Instagram handle, has already admitted his fault and apologized to the fan and the supporters. It is hard for Ronaldo to digest any defeat which has led to such an action.
“It’s never easy to deal with emotions in difficult moments such as the one we are facing. Nevertheless, we always have to be respectful, and patient and set an example for all the youngsters who love the beautiful game,” Ronaldo wrote on his latest Instagram post.

Although the five-time Ballon d’Or has saved Manchester United often in the Champions League group stage but failed to leave any mark in the Round of 16. Because of their poor form in the Premier League this season, their qualification for the champions league next season remains looks highly uncertain right now.
