The champions overcame a two-goal deficit for the fourth time in their last six competitive games thanks to the Erling Haaland’s sensational 19-minute hat-trick, which included the equaliser and the winning goals.
The Norwegian’s third goal capped an outstanding comeback that began when Bernardo Silva led a second-half charge by pulling one back, and it was met with a jig of joy from Pep Guardiola and excitement from a home crowd watching Haaland’s first City strikes at the Etihad.
The 20 year old said “Not easy for new players to come in and play for premiere league but yeah thats how it is.Good to come here,good to play and good feeling.“

The Norwegian completed the comeback by prodding in John Stones’ errant shot after Phil Foden‘s cross had brought Pep Guardiola‘s team to within one. Haaland completed the scoring with Palace in the lead as he raced on to Ilkay Gundogan’s pass and held off Joel Ward to cap a strong performance. He was replaced to a thunderous ovation from the home crowd.
Patrick Vieira and his Palace players were left to consider what might have been following a valiant first-half performance replete with organisation, strong defence, and some superb counterattacking, while City’s fans applauded at the game’s conclusion.
