With just a few weeks left until that iconic song returns to our lives, Champions League mania has reached new heights following Thursday’s group stage draw.

The 2022–23 group stage’s biggest clash is between Barcelona and Bayern Munich, and Robert Lewandowski will face the team he left this summer. Last season, these two clubs faced off in a group stage match, and Bayern completely thrashed Barça, sending the Catalans to the Europa League.

Italian powerhouse Inter also included in Group C, Barca and Bayern are placed in one of the more challenging groups. Barcelona defeated Inter Milan twice in their most recent meeting in the 2019–20 group stage, both times under former manager Ernesto Valverde. Although playing at San Siro is never easy, Simoni Inzaghi’s team is plenty of quality and has had a solid start to this season.
