Thomas Tuchel ‘not interested’ in bringing Cristiano Ronaldo to Chelsea despite interest from club owner Todd Boehly: Reports

In a big blow to Cristiano Ronaldo and a sigh of relief for Manchester United, Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel has decided against bringing Ronaldo to Stamford Bridge this summer.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Cristiano’s agent, Jorge Mended had direct talks with Chelsea owner Todd Boehly and even though the new owners liked the idea, Tuchel doesn’t feel Ronaldo would fit Chelsea’s system and be useful.

Thomas Tuchel seems content with new signing Raheem Sterling and the club could look to bring another goal-scoring winger but has ended their interest in the Portuguese legend.
The club are anyways working on bringing in a new centre-back after already confirming a deal to sign Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli for €40 million just a few days back. Chelsea is reportedly going to open talks with man City’s Nathan Ake and PSG’s Preston Kimpembe.
With the Blues out of the race and Bayern also deciding against signing the player, Ronaldo is running out of options. There are reports emerging that PSG was interested in Lionel Messi but doesn’t want to play alongside the Portuguese.
Real Madrid is also an unlikely destination, hence The 37-year-old could end up staying at Manchester United this summer. The club anyways want the player to stay and Erik ten Hag is excited to start working with him.
Ronaldo is yet to start pre-season with Manchester United after missing out on their trip to Thailand citing family issues. Manchester United will hope that he can join them in Australia for the rest of the pre-season tour.
