“Three GOATS and David Beckham” – Piers Morgan takes yet another dig at Beckham as he poses with Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, and Lewis Hamilton at Miami Grand Prix

Renowned journalist, Piers Morgan, recently took to Twitter and made a dig at David Beckham during his appearance at Miami Grand Prix on Sunday. Formula One and sports fans alike lost their minds at the sight of several sporting GOATs mingling at the Miami Grand Prix on Monday.

It was the first-ever F1 race in Miami and a who’s-who of A-list celebrities turned up in force to enjoy the over-the-top spectacle of an F1 race on American soil. And a photo of Lewis Hamilton, Michael Jordan, David Beckham and Tom Brady posing together in front of the Mercedes garage sent fans into meltdown.

However, British media personality Piers Morgan tweeted the photo of the sporting royalty but couldn’t resist having a dig at Beckham claiming the former Manchester United and Real Madrid great was out of place alongside the three GOATs.

When Piers Morgan and Gary Linekar argued over David Beckham on Twitter

This isn’t the first time Piers Morgan had no so-good words for Beckham when he regarded him as the most overrated player in football history.

Earlier, Gary Lineker hit back at Piers Morgan after he boldly claimed that David Beckham was “the most overrated player in history” and “wouldn’t have got onto the Arsenal Invincibles bench.”

This fiery Twitter debate began on Sunday evening of February 14, when Morgan posted a picture of Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr after he scored the first touchdown of Super Bowl LVI against the Cincinnati Bengals. The 56-year-old TV personality wrote, “Great to watch a Beckham who can actually play football…” – a response that certainly got people talking on social media.

Lineker then responded to Morgan’s claims on Monday morning by saying, “You might dislike him, for whatever reason, but David Beckham was a great footballer. One of our finest.”

Morgan, meanwhile, was quick to respond to Lineker’s opinion. “You might want to suck up to him, for whatever reason, but Beckham was the most overrated player in history,” he said. “Wouldn’t have got onto the Arsenal Invincibles bench.”

Lineker went on to list Beckham’s wealth of achievements over the years during spells at Manchester United and Real Madrid.

6 Premier Leagues, 2 FA Cups, 1 Champions League, 1 La Liga, 1 Ligue 1. Balón d’Or runner up. 115 caps for England, 59 as captain,” the Match of the Day presenter noted. “One of the best crossers of the ball the game has ever seen. Yeah, overrated,” he added.

Digging at Piers, 101dodo101 argued: “And he still achieved more, had more talent in his left foot and contributed more to society than you in terms of taxes paid, jobs created, and donations given.”Stop degrading people.”
