Lionel Messi is all set to play his first game in the US away from home. His team Inter Miami are all set to face FC Dallas in their city. Surprisingly, the tickets for the game were sold within ten minutes after they became available. This is the first time this has happened in the MLS. The Messi hype is all over the country. They have not been this excited about the sport since David Beckham‘s stint at LA Galaxy. Messi has reciprocated it in a sublime fashion to kick off the stint at Florida.
For his debut, he came off the bench against Cruz Azul with the score tied at 1-1. In the added time when everyone thought the game was over, he got a free kick near the edge of the box. In typical fashion, he found the back of the net and opened his account for the club.
This game was witnessed by many high-profile celebrities including LeBron James, Kim Kardashian, and Serena Williams. In his second game, he faced Atlanta United in the League Cup. Messi dominated the whole game, making it seem as if he was playing against amateur players. He scored the first goal in the eighth minute to give Miami the lead. 14 minutes later, he doubled the lead for his team.
Just before the halftime whistle, he set up Robert Taylor to make it 3-0. In the 53rd minute, he provided another assist for Taylor to seal the game 4-0. Messi, finally, came off the pitch in the 78th minute amidst a huge applause from the crowd.

Lionel Messi vs Orlando City
Lionel Messi‘s third game was against Orlando City where he again gave Miami the lead within the first ten minutes. But the Beckham-owned side faced some difficulties in the first half as Orlando equalized in the 17th minute.
However, Miami scored twice in the second half, one of them coming from the Argentine to win the game 3-1. As of now, Messi has scored 5 goals and given 2 assists in just 3 games.
Due to his brilliant form, fans around the world are eager to see more of him. This is the reason for the tickets being sold out so fast. This could help boost the revenue of several MLS clubs that are not used to their stadiums being sold out. It could also have a huge impact on the sport’s popularity in the USA.
