Real Madrid veteran midfielder Toni Kroos has announced the arrival of his new pet, which appears to be a dog. Cheekily, he said, “I got a new dog. What about turtles? They are not forgotten. They are not there yet. But they are still in the planning, new dog does not mean any turtle. That is clear. They will come.”

While the Los Blancos have been involved in a transfer saga with some of the biggest names in Europe over the years, could this be a dig at one of them? Kroos is often known for his jubilant personality and straightforward social media. While he has not clarified what breed the dog is, it certainly could be another beagle, given his affection for the breed.

Fans on social media have constantly debated over Toni Kroos’ comments hinting at the potential arrival of a new player. Since Kylian Mbappe has many times been joked over as a turtle and was gifted one teenage mutant ninja turtle mask in a Dior box by former teammate Thiago Silva.

However, this could also be one of Kroos‘ gimmicks being played over the media and engaging with them. Irrespective of his comments, Kylian Mbappe has been linked to the Spanish Giants, and if this was a hint, the fans have wished his new dog to be blessed with good health.

Toni Kroos is undoubtedly one of the most respected footballers of the current era. The veteran footballer has won everything from the Bundesliga, La Liga, and UCLs to the World Cup. He once went 1372 minutes without misplacing a pass for the Spanish team.

Kroos is known globally for his unbelievable passing and work rate throughout his career. He has undoubtedly been an influential personality in the dressing rooms as well. In his time with Real Madrid, the club has won the UEFA Champions League five times and has single-handedly dominated Europe in the past decade.

With his career almost at a crossroads, it’s time for Real Madrid to find an ideal replacement for the midfielder who still starts most of their games. When talked about in the debates of being the best in passing abilities, players such as Kevin De Bruyne and his own teammate Luka Modric could be the only midfielders that come close to his stature.
