Harry Kane looks all set to join Bayern Munich. Tottenham Hotspur has agreed a deal with Bayern Munich with 100 million. This comes after Spurs initially rejected all offers from the German club. The player now looks likely to leave for Germany. Kane has for many years been one of the best strikers in the world. He has carried the London club through many years even when none of his teammates were really up to his standards.

He has scored 280 goals for the club in 435 games. Tottenham Hotspur haven’t won a trophy for more than a decade now. However, Kane’s heroics has still kept the club alive. It is mainly because of him that the Lillywhites manage to attract top managers like Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte. Kane’s only problem in his career is that he has no trophies. He has come close on a few occasions. They were in the title race in the 2015/16 season and the 2016/17 season, but Leicester and Chelsea ended up winning in these years, respectively.

In 2018/19, Spurs qualified for the Champions League final, but ended up losing to Liverpool 2-0. In 2020/21 they made it to the Carabao Cup final but lost to Manchester City. They have been heavily unlucky. A player of Harry Kane’s ability must have more trophies to his name. This is why Bayern Munich seems to be a very attractive destination for him.

The player could replace the position inherited by Gerd Muller and Robert Lewandowski and add silverware to his name. In his meeting with Thomas Tuchel, he discussed the prospect of winning the Champions League with them. That is his dream and would compensate for the lack of silverware he has.

Some fans reacted in shock at Tottenham’s decision. If Harry Kane joins Bayern, it would mean foregoing the chase for the Premier League’s highest goal-scorer record.

Here are some of the fan reactions:

The player is very close to breaking Alan Shearer‘s tally. He needs 47 goals to surpass it and write his name into Premier League history books. However, staying in Spurs would still mean a lack of silverware. The player now has a decision to make.
