Tottenham announces Ivan Perisic as their first signing of the 2022/23 season

According to reports, Tottenham has officially confirmed Ivan Perisic as their first big signing for the next season as they qualify for the champions league next season. The Croatian international ran out of contract at his old club Inter Milan and has agreed to move to Tottenham for a two-year deal that will run until 2024.
The 33-year-old Inter Milan forward can play both wing-back and striker, making him one of Antonio Conte’s first summer signings. The contract is worth roughly £5.1 million per year, or around £98,000 per week. Despite suffering from a gastrocnemius injury towards the end of Inter Milan’s previous season, the Croatian should be fit or near to being fit for the first day of pre-season training.
Perisic played for Inter Milan in Seria A and won the league title and Super Copa Italiana in the 2021/21 season and scored ten goals and made nine assists in the season.
He was a part of Bayern Munich’s treble-winning side as they won the champions league, DFB Pokal, and the Bundesliga title in 2019/20. He is not unknown to the English fans as his goal helped Croatia to beat England and progress to the World Cup final which is the first in their country’s history.

Tottenham finishes fourth in the PL table to qualify for the UCL next season
Antonio Conte’s side finished fourth in the premier league table after they went past Arsenal who was the first-choice for finishing fourth but the last few matches changed the scenario for Tottenham.
Son won the joint-topscorer of the league equalling Liverpool’s Salah and became the first Asian-born player to receive the trophy. Harry Kane and company look to strengthen their side under Conte for their next season’s champions league and will look to make a decent impact after the 2018/19 season’s final defeat to Liverpool.
Perisic has appeared in over 650 games for his club and nation, winning two Bundesliga crowns, Serie A, the Coppa Italia, and the Champions League. Ivan has made 113 international appearances for his country, scoring 32 goals in the process. He scored in the final of the World Cup, but his team finished second to France.
