Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min made sure that Brazilian star and Spurs teammate Richarlison got the praise he deserved. After admitting that he was traversing a hard time mentally and that he needed help to resolve his problems, the 26-year-old made headlines after he netted a 90+8′ equalizer against Sheffield United.

Richarlison has had a tough time with Spurs since moving to London from Everton. After seeing his poor run of form with the National team as well, he was substituted against Bolivia after missing easy chances. The player was visibly frustrated following his substitution and was reduced to tears on the bench. Following the game, Richarlison admitted that he was facing certain difficulties and that he was going to seek professional help from a ‘psychologist’ about the same.

Just a few days after he poured about his mental state, Richarlison has now, spectacularly, turned the game on his head for his club against Sheffield. Tottenham was looking all lost until the injury time when the Brazilian forward scored the headed equalizer before setting up Dejan Kulusevski for a winner in the 90+10 minutes.

After the victory, Heung-min Son praised the Brazilian for his efforts. He said,“Seeing Richarlison score felt better than me scoring!”. Further, Son said that he knew about Richarlison’s difficulties and was thinking about how could he help his teammate. The South Korean even said that it was in fact bad luck and “other circumstances” that led to his situation.

Now, as per multiple reports, the Spurs boss is lining up an offer for a player he has coached in the past. The deal is said to be in the £25 million region for Daizen Maeda. The 25-year-old winger plays for Celtic. Following the departure of Jota to Al-Ittihad, the Scottish may agree to let him go if an offer comes in the £25 million region.

Postecogloiu highly rates Maeda for his relentless work rate. Deeming it similar to that of N’Golo Kante‘s profile. The Japanese winger is an undeniable presence throughout the 90 minutes and it is no surprise that Postecoglou is looking to bring him to North London.

Even though Maeda has been exceptional for Celtic in previous seasons, he has not had the best of starts to this season. H has found it difficult to find the net and not functioning at his usual best under new manager Brendan Rodgers. A move looks best for both parties involved.
